At work ive used plenty of lidar data for set extension work on films. Its fun to have my own gritty little tool at home capable of capturing similar data. below are a few examples of experiments we have done.

A great little project, I started monitoring a range of sensors in my house and learnt a huge range of technologies and techniques along the way. raspberry pi, gpio, i2c, python, linux, and a nice little java graphing library to present the data with.
( the data still needs to be calibrated correctly )
