At work ive used plenty of lidar data for set extension work on films.
Its fun to have my own gritty little tool at home capable of capturing similar data.
below are a few examples of experiments we have done.

Jennis has a few shoes that dont fit. this is a Kinect scan of her foot that will be 3d printed and then used to stretch her shoes to the actual shape of her foot.

Another art piece of Yulias, this time a salt sculpture that presents a challenge when 3d scanning. as it has so many occluded nooks and crannies.
